KAFEA TERRA ACHIEVED ZERO COFFEE WASTE AT HORECA 2026 IN ATHENS!

HO.RE.CA. 2026 may have come to an end — but the coffee’s journey didn’t end there.

From February 13–16, our brands illy, Dimello, Dimello “THREE CONTINENTS”, AREA 51 and Distillo didn’t just serve exceptional coffee. They actively contributed to closing its circle.

In collaboration with @incommon, we empowered our baristi to become sustainability ambassadors during the event:

🔸 We trained our baristi in Source Separation of coffee grounds
🔸 We provided the right tools to ensure proper and efficient sorting
🔸 We ensured that the collected coffee grounds will be composted and transformed into natural fertilizer, returning to the soil as a valuable resource in the coming months

Thanks to the commitment and daily effort of our teams, 167kg of coffee grounds were diverted from waste.

Because circular economy is not just a strategy — it’s a mindset.
And it starts with people.
